THE INCLINE FRIENDS

Your Local Non-Profit Organization Dedicated to Maintaining and Sustaining the Manitou Springs Incline

Incline Friends - Manitou Incline Non-Profit Group

The Incline Friends is a non-profit community organization dedicated to maintaining and sustaining the Manitou Springs Incline as an athletic and outdoors destination for the Front Range. As the Incline continues to function as one of the main gathering points for Manitou and Colorado Springs, we work with fellow stakeholders, users and supporters to ensure that the Incline remains a treasure of our community. We are a completely volunteer-based organization dedicated to preserving the Incline for generations to come, and to encourage future generations to remain stewards of the Incline. We dedicate our time, money and effort to the goal of sustaining the Incline and ensuring a positive experience for users and the surrounding community.

FAQs About Us & The Incline:

Incline Friends is a volunteer-based nonprofit that partners with the Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department to help maintain and protect the Manitou Incline. Our mission is to preserve this iconic trail as a premier outdoor destination while promoting responsible use and community stewardship. Through advocacy and hands-on support, they help ensure this beloved trail remains a valued resource for generations to come. If you’re interested in helping our group keep this stunning landmark alive and well, come join us at one of our upcoming volunteer events focused on trail maintenance, sustainability, and education.

Not only can you donate your time to volunteer to help coordinate events, pick up trash, help with maintenance projects, organize Incline Friends projects, or join our team, you can also donate monetary funds to our non-profit as well. Any donations made to our organization 100% go to the efforts to maintain and sustain the Manitou Incline. We are thankful to anyone who is able to help keep this Colorado hike alive, so feel free to contact us for physical help or click on the following link to donate funds to our cause: https://checkout.square.site/merchant/MLNTX6WNQ7T9J/checkout/D2OLNQYVOQECTKJ4HFU7XICB?src=embed

This local hiking trail is an extremely difficult trail with vigorous and intense terrain, even complete with a false summit and well-known uneven staircase. The trail is recommended only for physically active people and is not a hiking trail anyone should take lightly and just nonchalantly try, especially those who are not acclimated to Colorado’s high elevation. The Incline is a hike where you will gain over 2,000 vertical feet in just under a mile with incline grades up to 68%, all of which is entirely a staircase workout, so we encourage everyone to enjoy this beautiful trail with extreme caution and come well prepared.
