Incline Friends – dedicated to maintaining and sustaining the Manitou Springs Incline
Incline Friends is a non-profit community organization dedicated to maintaining and sustaining the Manitou Springs Incline as an athletic and outdoors destination for the Front Range. As the Incline continues to function as one of the main gathering points for Manitou and Colorado Springs, we work with fellow stakeholders, users and supporters to ensure that the Incline remains a treasure of our community. We are a completely volunteer-based organization dedicated to preserving the Incline for generations to come, and to encourage future generations to remain stewards of the Incline. We dedicate our time, money and effort to the goal of sustaining the Incline and ensuring a positive experience for users and the surrounding community.
You can make an Incline reservation online at https://coloradosprings.gov/incline but only up to seven (7) days in advance.
If you don’t see any reservations available, keep in mind that the “no-show” rate consistently runs 30% – 40% so you have almost an even chance of getting a “walk-up” spot. You could also explore some of the other great trails near the Incline. The Barr Trail (most popular route up Pikes Peak), Ute Pass Regional Trail and Northern Return Trail (right next to the base of the Incline) are all within easy walking distance of the Incline. Red Mountain, another great hike with significant elevation gain and great views, is accessed down Spring Street off of Ruxton Avenue, just east of the Incline. Parking is extremely limited at the Red Mountain Trailhead (4-5 cars only) so be sure to walk there from wherever you parked. Intemann Trail accessed off of Ruxton Avenue or Pawnee Avenue.
Be safe, be courteous. Hike on!
